More Logo Designs for Peak Records

After my second pitch meeting with Lee, I have spent some time creating a few more different logo designs. Some of things that Lee asked me to do was to keep the layout the same and the font, but play around with the shaping and colour. I have used Illustrator to create these designs and used tools such as the shape tool and the paintbrush tool. Down below are the different logo designs which I have expanded on.

The first thing that I changed on my designs was the different colours. I pitched the design which is red to to Lee, which he really liked but wanted to see what it would look like with different colours. The first colour I tried out was a light green fill with yellow outline, which looks good, the colours work well together and look fresh. The next colour that I tried was a blue fill and yellow outline which I think works even better because I could imagine it on a t-shirt or a lighter.

After I tried out some different colours, I started to play around with the shapes adding in circles and hexagons. I done this for each of the different colours which gives Lee a variety of designs which he can pick his favourite from in the next pitch meeting.

Above are the different designs with cirlcle shapes around the outside which makes it more together and it looks more proffessional. I like this idea of having the circle around the outside becasue it will make it eaiser to print onto an album cover or a t-shirt, and still look good. Also it makes the logo more original and gives it a better effect.

Above here are the designs which I put a hexagon around them instead of the circle. I don't think this idea works as well because they all look a bit scruffy and stretched too much. The shape has straight lines which kind of make the designs a bit boring and dull, whereas the cirlces make it more round and together. These logo designs look like they have just been placed in the middle and just left there.
